Chrysler Group Sales Are Up Again!

10 Nov

Chrysler Group’s October sales were 27 percent higher than they were a year ago — the best October since 2007 and the 19th consecutive month of year-over-year sales increases.

The Jeep brand posted its 18th straight month of sales gains powered by a whopping 566 percent spike in Compass sales, with 5,179 units sold — a record for the compact SUV.

The Jeep Wrangler reeled in some major numbers as well with its own October record, moving 9,892 units.

With its 28 percent jump, the Chrysler brand saw the biggest October gain of any Chrysler Group brand, thanks to soaring sales of the Chrysler 200. It saw a 405 percent increase in sales over its predecessor during the same month a year ago.

The Ram Truck brand hauled in a 21 percent sales boost over its October 2010 results.

A Dodge double play combination of the mid-size Avenger and Journey crossover led the way in October. Sales for the Avenger were up 145 percent while the Journey saw a 36 percent increase.

Finally, a top line number that goes directly to the bottom line, retail sales jumped 40 percent last month compared with October 2010.

With the auto show season upon us, look for plenty of new Chrysler Group offerings, starting with the all-new Fiat 500 Abarth at the LA Auto Show. The big reveal is on November 16th. More details on how you can join in are coming soon.
