Chrysler at the L.A. Auto Show

Chrysler brand President/CEO Olivier Francois used the Nov. 18 LA Auto Show news conference to relaunch the Chrysler brand.

“Chrysler is at a crossroads: Failure or success,” Francois told a crowd at the Chrysler Group exhibit. “And Detroit knows how to stand up when knocked down.”

The news conference was the formal unveiling of the 2011 Chrysler Town & Country and the all-new, 2011 Chrysler 200 Sedan, which replaces the Sebring line.

With so much change intended for the upcoming 2011 Chrysler 200 sedan, Chrysler felt it was appropriate to bestow a new nameplate on the car, as it deserves its own space and identity in the mid-size sedan segment. The Chrysler 200 will provide drivers a beautifully inspired sedan that doesn’t compromise safety or practicality, while offering an extraordinary level of standard content, all at a surprising value.

The roofline and door design of the 200 Sedan seem to be the only carryovers from the Sebring. Francois said the 200 features a new front end, hood, headlamps, fog lamps, rear end, and many other items.

The new Chrysler 200 sedan offers consumers exceptional craftsmanship inside and out, a refined and spirited driving experience, innovative technology, an abundance of standard safety features and an extraordinary level of standard content.
